The energy sector is seeing a dramatic shift in how start-ups, legacy producers, and new technology. At the center of this evolution is the traditional producers and suppliers to the new energy frontier. One of the most interesting developments in new sector energy is the aspect of ownership, more specifically fractional ownership. We have fractional ownership in condominiums (timeshares for vacation), business class jets by corporations, and even fractional ownership in crypto mining facilities. The next logical step for energy is fractional ownership of new, green, energy sources. Fractional ownership opens a new market for investors and those seeking to invest. If an individual can purchase hours of tera hashing from a crypto mining farm, is it that far of a leap to imagine part ownership in a solar or wind farm? This trend will require the development of entirely new software systems to manage and support this new model.
